A Mesa County Mission That Matters

It is the mission of the Mesa County Habitat for Humanity to build safe, decent affordable housing for God's people in need.

Habitat for Humanity's global mission and vision are to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter for all a matter of conscience and action.

As a grassroots, Christian, nonprofit organization, Habitat for Humanity builds or renovates homes in partnership with families who qualify for home ownership based on three simple criteria: need, a willingness to partner with Habitat, and the ability to repay a no-interest mortgage.

We work with people of all faiths or no faith; we sell our houses at no profit, with no interest charged; and we do it all through your generous donations of labor, money, and materials. Donations are used as designated by the donor, and our volunteers generously assist in a wide variety of ways.

Since 1991, Habitat for Humanity of Mesa County has been building homes for deserving, hard-working families who just need a hand up, not a handout, to make their lives better and to escape the cycle of poverty.

Anyone may apply for a Habitat home. If you or a family you know needs decent, affordable housing, please go to Applying for a Habitat Home for information about how and what it means to apply for a home.

Please join us in our efforts to make the world a better place for families in our community. We gratefully welcome everyone who wants to help.
